Eric Clapton Announces 2017 U.S. Concert Dates

Eric Clapton, who turned 70 last year and vowed he was retiring, will perform at least four U.S. concerts in March. Two of them will be at the Forum in Los Angeles on March 25 and 26. The other two will be at Madison Square Garden in New York on March 19 and 20. 

The concerts are being billed as celebrations of the the 50-year career of Clapton, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s only a three-time inductee. His only other scheduled concerts for 2017 will be at London’s Royal Albert Hall on May 22, 24 and 25.

The four March concerts will feature two guests guitarists: Gary Clark, Jr. and Jimmie Vaughan.

Tickets for Clapton’s four U.S. concerts will go on sale to Chase credit and debit card holders beginning Thursday at 9 a.m. PST. through ticketmaster.com.

Tickets for the general public will go on sale Saturday at 10 a.m. local time in Los Angeles and New York. Prices for tickets for Clapton’s two Los Angeles concerts range from $59.50 to a dizzying $950, plus service charges.
